Maysie is an anti-racist activist and educator living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Maysie does freelance consulting, educating and workshops on these and other anti-oppression and anti-colonial issues. Maysie  is a feminist macro-thinker and general troublemaker. Maysie believes in political and social alliances, particularly with First Nations and Aboriginal peoples whose land Maysie, because of the genocidal practices of colonial and present-day Canada, and despite being born here, is squatting on.

Maysie is light skinned, mixed race (Chinese and Romanian Jewish), and is a straight, queer-ally, cisgendered bio-woman. She is able bodied, and other privileges include education, class and language and she also has the privilege of living in the country where she was born.

This blog will discuss many different issues, all from an anti-racist, anti-oppression lens of analysis. Sometimes it will be funny, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes informative, sometimes entertaining. There’s also lots of swearing.
